The Construction Innovation Forum continuously searches construction publications and projects to identify innovations that have made significant contributions to increasing quality and cost effectiveness. The CIF then solicits nomination of those innovations for the NOVA Award by identifying people who will nominate them and providing those people with the information they need to prepare and submit the Nomination.

The nomination process is purposely simple and straightforward to allow busy people to prepare and submit a NOVA Award Nomination. Preparing a Nomination takes about a person-day of effort. The NOVA Award process is unique among award programs for the breadth of its vision and the strength of its investigation and decision process. Identifying, soliciting, or nominating an innovation for the NOVA Award is itself a recognition of significant innovation and support for innovation to advance construction worldwide. There is no higher honor a person or organization can give to a colleague, client, supplier, producer, contractor, or vendor than to nominate its innovation for the NOVA Award.
